BMX Olympic Medalists Will Appear In Tulsa Friday

TULSA, OK -- The first BMX Olympic medalists will be in Tulsa for the American Bicycle Association's Grand National Championships over Thanksgiving weekend.

The Olympic athletes will appear in the Pro Spectacular at 7 p.m. Friday, November 27 at the QuikTrip Center at Expo Square.

The sport made its official debut in the 2008 Olympic Games.

Competitors from the U.S., Italy, France, the Netherlands, Latvia and the UK will compete at the newly re-designed 100-sq.ft. track.

The competition begins Thursday and runs through Sunday with an estimated $7.2 million economic impact for Tulsa, organizers say.

General admission tickets are $10 for the main event Friday night with gates opening at 6:15 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at exposquare.com or by calling 918-376-6000.

All other races are free to attend.
