TULSA, OK -- He already has the key to Tulsans hearts, now Robert Meachem has a key to the city as well.
The city of Tulsa honored New Orleans Saints wide receiver Robert Meachem at a special ceremony Thursday afternoon.
Meachem says winning the Super Bowl was great, but now he wants to give back to his hometown.
He says he's doing it the same way his mentors -- including the late Wayman Tisdale -- did, by helping kids.
"I got love from Oklahoma like no other. It's just like New Orleans, they embrace me and just give me the world," Meachem said.
Meachem graduated from Booker T. Washington High School before attending the University of Tennessee and being drafted by the Saints
Meachem wears jersey #17 for the Saints and says the most important advice he has for kids --- keep God first and take time to enjoy life.
