MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A decision is expected next month on a defense motion in the case of an 18-year-old Tahlequah man charged in the stabbing death of a 4-year-old Muskogee boy.
Aaron Laconsello is charged with first-degree murder in the Nov. 9 death of Dakota Lane and with assault and battery of the boy's then pregnant mother.

The Muskogee Phoenix reports that Laconsello's attorney wants his own expert present when the state crime lab tests blood taken from the home and that any blood remaining after the tests be given to the defense.
Special District Judge Robin Adair said a decision will be made before Laconsello's preliminary hearing begins on Feb. 2.
A motive for the attack has not been released and prosecutors have said the victims did not know Laconsello.
