Police Identify Man Killed At Tulsa Apartment Complex

TULSA, Oklahoma – A shooting at a Tulsa apartment complex early Friday morning left one man dead, Tulsa Police said.

It happened about 2:30 a.m. Friday at the Riverbank Plaza Apartments near 61st and Riverside.

Officers say the man, identified as 27-year-old Ahmad Thompson, was driving through the complex in his Ford Explorer when someone opened fire on his SUV.

"There were multiple shots fired," Tulsa Police Sergeant Mark Meers said.

Police said Thompson, who was shot in the upper torso, kept driving after he was shot and crashed into a dumpster. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police the suspects were possibly two black males driving either a silver or beige Chevy Malibu, a silver Dodge Intrepid, or a white Cadillac sedan.
