TULSA, Oklahoma -- The final Project Schoolhouse proposal will be unveiled Friday, Tulsa Public Schools announced. Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard will present the proposal to the public during a news conference at 9:30 a.m. April 22 at the Education Service Center.
The School Board will then have final say over whether the proposal will go into effect.
"This marks the culmination of public discussion around the three proposals that have been offered up to the public for consideration," Ballard said. "Thoughts and opinions from parents, educators and the Tulsa community were used to formulate this final recommendation, incorporating the best elements of Plans A, B and C. Project Schoolhouse will then be the subject of a public hearing next week, prior to a board vote on May 2."
Project Schoolhouse refers to the TPS initiative and process to examine the best possible use of existing financial and physical resources to provide a quality learning experience for every student.
