TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Police Department is collecting items for first responders in Alabama and Mississippi.

Many of the men and women who were first on the scene to help tornado victims lost everything too.

Officers are working with 10-4 Ministries to collect clothes, personal care items and food. They say one of the best ways you can help is by donating a gift card.

"We look at it like if were to hit here what would be appreciate, what would we like people to come down and help out with," Corporal Dan Ward said.

If you'd like to help, you can drop off donations at the Riverside Division this week.
