TULSA, Oklahoma -- A 10th grader at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa and a 3rd grader at Maryetta School in Stilwell could get the chance to "Doodle for Google" and win some big money for their schools.

Allyson Henley, 15, of Tulsa and Katie Stephenson, 9, of Stilwell are two of 40 finalists in the "Doodle 4 Google National Art Competition".

A team of judges, including Olympic gold medalists and movie stars, searched through oodles of doodles to come up with the top 40 finalists.

Allyson's doodle is titled "Life is Sweeter Than Candy!"

She says she would like to own a bakery someday. "My doodle expresses 'What I'd like to do someday…' because when I'm older I want to have a bakery and design cakes like on cake decorating shows. I want to utilize my artistic abilities in a business of my own."

"I'm kinda terrified," Allyson said about the competition. "I think it's really awesome, ‘cause I've never really won anything before. It was kind of a big deal for me."

Katie's doodle is titled "Jungle Art - Animal Portraits."

She says wants to have her artwork displayed in a museum "I want to become an amazing artist and paint endangered animals on my canvases. I would travel to the jungle and paint 'animal portraits!' I would exhibit my art work in museums for people to enjoy!"

The top 40 will be narrowed to four though eight days of online voting and then Google will pick the winner. The champion "doodler" will win a $15,000 college scholarship and a $25,000 technology grant for their school.  Their doodle will be showcased on the site.

"I want everyone to vote for the one they think is best," Allyson said. "I'd love to win the $15,000 and the $25,000 for Booker T. But it's what the public wants."

You can vote for Allyson and Katie, because they represent different age groups.

Voting will be open until May 13, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.(PT).  To vote, visit Google's website at www.google.com/doodle4google/vote.html.
