Tulsans Rally Against TPS Police Chief

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Green County religious leaders met Saturday to rally for action in Tulsa Public schools. Some want Tulsa Public Schools police chief Gary Rudick fired.

Rudick was placed on unpaid leave in April after he sent a controversial email. In the note he urged Tulsa Police to keep pushing the case against Tulsa school principal Lynnette Dixon.

Others say they're concerned about the historic overhaul and school closings at TPS.

"Like everyone else who comes today we want to analyze and assess where we go from here," said Tulsa Imam Arthur Farahkhan.

TPS Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard say Rudick has been formally reprimanded. He will return to work on Monday.
