Tulsa's Wright Elementary To Get Extreme Makeover

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa school will receive an extreme makeover this weekend. Wright Elementary, 1110 E. 45th Place, will get the makeover courtesy of The Church at BattleCreek's Clean Slate program.

About 400 volunteers are expected to show up at the elementary school Thursday through Saturday in an effort to improve the lives of students and staff, according to a release from Tulsa Public Schools.

Some of the improvements planned include:

• Nurse's office makeover
• Teacher's lounge makeover
• Front office re-do
• Murals and art painted throughout the school
• Landscaping
• Exterior power washing and painting

There will be a big reveal ceremony at the school starting at 8 a.m. Monday, May 23.
