OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin signed three bills into law Thursday aimed at helping Oklahoma military members and their families.

House Bill 1343 will provide college scholarships to children of military personnel killed in action after January 1, 200.

House Bill 1603 bans military deployment from being used as a reason for changes in child custody agreements.

Senate Bill 115 protects voting rights for members of the military by making sure state law complies with federal law relating to voting practices for active military personnel.

"We owe our very freedom to the servicemen and women who risk their lives to defend this state and this nation," Fallin said. "I am proud to be able to sign into law a series of bills that protect their families and their rights. They deserve nothing less."
