TULSA, Oklahoma -- It's a crime that captivated and terrified Oklahoma families. Three Green Country girl scouts were murdered on their first night at summer camp in rural Mayes County in 1977.
Three young girls - ages eight, nine and ten - were raped, bludgeoned and strangled. The crime was never solved.
Now, filmmakers are bringing the real-life drama of Oklahoma's girl scout murders to the big screen. The movie, called "Candles," seeks to put to rest many unanswered questions.
Auditions for "Candles" will be held at Tulsa's Circle Cinema, this Sunday, June 26th, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
