CRAIG COUNTY, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a single-car fatality crash on Interstate 44 in Craig County that left one man dead.
Lieutenant George Brown said a trooper tried to pull the driver over for an unsafe lane change, and the man refused to stop.
A pursuit reaching up to 115 miles an hour ensued, and the driver hit the barriers on an entrance ramp near the McDonald's.
The driver wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown 150 feet from the point of impact, Brown said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers have not yet released the identity of the victim.
The highway onramp was reopened after four hours.
