Human Remains Recovered In Okmulgee

OKMULGEE, Oklahoma -- Okmulgee Police say they have recovered human remains during their search for the body of a missing 23-year-old woman.

Ashley Taylor disappeared last month.

Her fiancé, Keven Sweat admitted to killing Taylor just after they left for Louisiana to get married. Sweat told officers where Taylor died, but refused to cooperate any further.

Sweat remains in the Okmulgee County jail on a complaint of first degree murder.

Police Chief Joe Prentice says forensic testing will have to be conducted to make an identification. He declined to give the location where the remains were found.
