COLLINSVILLE, Oklahoma -- Storm damage early Wednesday has Collinsville Public Schools scrambling to make repairs with the start of school on Thursday.
The high school located just west of town on State Highway 20 suffered damage when severe thunderstorms moved across Tulsa County.
The ceiling over the high school gymnasium was coming down. The water-logged ceiling tiles started falling after part of the metal roof was ripped away and the water poured in.

Workers were outside cleaning up roof panels from another part of the building. Some were more than 15 feet across, and thrown 100 yards by the wind.
That left the ceiling of the art room exposed - and lots of water poured in.
The school district reported minor damage to the 9th Grade Center and lesser damage in other part of the high school
Officials tell News On 6 they are planning to start school on Thursday as scheduled.
