Body Of Porter Soldier Arrives In Oklahoma Thursday

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The body of Porter native Specialist Joshua Seals arrived at the Tulsa Air National Guard Base Thursday.

Seals died in Afghanistan Tuesday, August 16, 2011, from non-combat related injuries. He served in the 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Porter Consolidated High School. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Tulsa.

Seals was 21. He was the eighth soldier from Oklahoma to be killed in Afghanistan in recent weeks.
