TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police are searching for a person or persons who shot at a police car late Wednesday night near 31st and Garnett.

Tulsa Police responded to a report of an attempted robbery at a Subway near that intersection.  Store employees told officers, three males, dressed all in black, wearing masks and gloves attempted to enter the store, but the door was locked.

The employees say the trio ran into the Meadows Apartments.

While looking for the suspects, officers heard gunshots. After exiting the patrol car the officers discovered a bullet hole in the passenger's side front door where one of the officers had been sitting. The round did not penetrate the door.

As they searched the complex, police found two spent shell casings in an apartment complex breeze way.

Neither officer in the car was injured.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
