Would-Be Tulsa Copper Thief Caught On Tape

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A burglar was caught on tape last month as he was attempting to steal an air conditioning unit from behind a Tulsa business in the 2100 block of North Sheridan.

Tulsa Police are asking for help in identifying the white male who cut the fence to get behind DVD Associates on August 25, 2011.

After getting inside, the man cut electrical wires and copper lines leading to an air conditioning unit. During the process of stealing the copper, police say he was interrupted and ran from the scene without taking the a/c unit.

The incident happened between 4:45 and 5 a.m.
