Friends And Family Remember George Clinkscale

TULSA, Oklahoma – Friends and family of former Tulsa football player George Clinkscale met on Tuesday at Sharpe Chapel in Tulsa for a memorial service.

Clinkscale died shortly after an unsanctioned boxing match at a church last week. He was 24.

He leaves behind his fiancée, Courtney Thompson, as well as a two-year old daughter, A'nahla, and a second baby girl due this month.

Former Tulsa teammates have set up a George Clinkscale Memorial Fund, and those interested can go to bankofamerica.com or any Bank of America branch. Clothing donations can also be dropped off at the Tulsa football offices.
