TULSA, Oklahoma -- The 138th Fighter Wing based in Tulsa is deploying to the Middle East in support of the U.S. troop draw down in Iraq.
The unit includes F-16 Fighter jets and all 200 members of the unit will leave via a charter aircraft from the base at Tulsa International Airport at noon on Wednesday.
The Air National Guard members will be in Iraq for a 120-day deployment and should be back in Tulsa by the end of November.
Earlier this week, an Air Force C-17 landed at the Tulsa base to pick up equipment and supplies the fighter wing will need during its deployment in Iraq.
