Midway Game Worker Arrested At Tulsa State Fair

TULSA, Oklahoma -- An Alabama man who was working a game of balloon darts on the Tulsa State Fair midway was arrested late Wednesday on a complaint of a violation of the Charity Games Act.

Eric Prince, 41, was arrested at 9 p.m. after a Tulsa County Sheriff's deputy spotted him operating a game in violation of the game's posted rules.

According to jail documents, the undercover deputy asked Prince what he had to do to win a prize and Prince told him if he wanted the Batman stuffed doll, he had to pay $80 to throw one dart. The deputy then asked to see the rules of the game but Prince couldn't produce them.

Under Oklahoma's Charity Games Act, rules of a game have to be posted at the game.

Anyone convicted of violating the Oklahoma Charity Games Act "shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by incarceration for a period not to exceed one year and by a fine of not more than $2,000 or both."

Prince, who listed his employer as Murphy Brothers, posted bond after being booked into the Tulsa County jail.
