TULSA, Oklahoma -- A handful of angry Oklahomans prepared for an all-night protest in downtown Tulsa Friday.
Part of the "Occupy" movement, the demonstrators say Friday's event is just a precursor to a protest they have planned for next Saturday - at which they're confident they'll have 3,000 demonstrators.
"We're showing that we're here. This city is our city. We are the 99. We built this city. We paid the taxes. Just showing solidarity and throughout the globe, it's a global movement," said Stephanie Lewis, Occupy Tulsa Demonstrator.
The "Occupy" protestors will ask the City Council next week to waive the city's curfew and permit rules, allowing them to protest whenever and wherever they want.
