SCHULTER, Oklahoma -- Investigators are looking into the discovery of a body inside a partially burned home. The man's body was found at a house, just east of Schulter in Okmulgee County.
Earlier that day, the victim's Buick LeSabre was found burned in Washita County near Burns Flat, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.
The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office isn't forthcoming with very many details, but say the body of a 57-year-old man was discovered inside this home on Lavender Road.
The body was found Monday afternoon by a family member. The home had also been partially burned. Investigators say Timothy Parenti had burns, although the sheriff says there aren't obvious signs of what killed him. But, they do consider the death suspicious.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation. Parenti's body has been sent to the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
Anyone with information that could help in the investigation is urged to call the Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office at 918-756-4311.
