Pride Of Broken Arrow Wins Bands Of America Competition

Three Tulsa area bands make the finals of a national band competition in Indianapolis this weekend, with the Pride of Broken Arrow placing first in a field of 90 bands.

Broken Arrow won the Bands of America grand nationals Saturday night in Indianapolis.

Bands from Owasso, Broken Arrow and Union High Schools made the finals at the Bands of America grand nationals competition in Indianapolis.

Out of more than 90 bands competing from across the country, the three schools were among 33 bands that advanced to the semi finals.

Of the top 12 bands that made the finals, the Pride of Broken Arrow was selected as the best band with a score of 95.95.

Union finished in 6th place followed by Owasso in 7th.
