A Collinsville man has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run collision at a busy Tulsa intersection. A woman was hit by a pickup truck as she crossed Memorial at 51st Street around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Krista Holloway, 40, was taken to a Tulsa hospital for emergency surgery but died of her injuries. Police say she was at the intersection after another hit-and-run driver damaged her car.
"The victim, Krista Holloway and her family had been involved in a hit-and-run collision in the southbound lanes, and officers were on the scene," said Officer Leland Ashley, Tulsa Police.
"Holloway had gone to the eastside of South Memorial Drive and was walking back westbound when she was struck by a truck traveling northbound in the inside lane of South Memorial Drive."
Officer A. Finnegan said in his arrest report that he was at the intersection in response to the first wreck when he heard the second collision. Finnegan saw a full-size pickup truck leaving the scene at a high rate of speed and gave chase.
He arrested Collinsville resident Christopher Allan Nail, 24, in the 8000 block of East 41st Street. Nail was booked on a felony complaint of fleeing an accident that resulted in personal injury or death and two traffic misdemeanors.
