Tulsa police are investigating a string of business burglaries all with the same MO.

Thieves are throwing bricks or huge rocks into store fronts to get inside. They hit at least three businesses within a three mile-stretch in South Tulsa Monday morning.

Police believe the person responsible is looking for quick cash and they target businesses with glass store fronts.

Kathy Bondy is upset. The French Hen owner bought the restaurant at 71st and Yale three months ago.

Everything was great until trouble broke-in Monday morning.

"It was very frustrating, very frustrating to see that somebody had come in and destroyed something of mine," Bondy said.

Luckily, the alarm went off as soon as someone threw a rock and broke the glass. The would-be burglars left without taking anything.

"Could have been worse, but still, I just have to write a check," she said.

Tulsa police say the French Hen break-in is tied to at least two others nearby that all happened the same night.

Fancy Nails at 81st and Yale got hit when someone broke through the glass door, which has already been replaced, and stole about $100.

And Papa John's at 51st and Harvard had a mess on its hands when someone threw a brick through the glass front door and rummaged through the store looking for money. The alarm sounded and nothing was stolen.

Bondy is out the hundreds of dollars it will cost to replace the glass and jokes that she never should have been in this situation in first place.

"If you want to get the best food in town, you can make reservations. You don't have to come in through the window," Bondy said.

Fancy Nails was the only business of the three that didn't have an alarm. It was also the only one that had something stolen. The owner says she had an alarm installed the next day.
