Funeral Services Scheduled For Broken Arrow Native Donnie Ray Crawford III

Funeral services for racing legend Donnie Ray Crawford III will be held at Rhema Church in Broken Arrow, Saturday at 1 p.m. January 21, 2012.

Crawford was shot and killed by his grandfather, 74-year-old Daniel Garcia, Saturday during a family dispute. Garcia was also killed in the scuffle.

The Crawfords are considered the "first family" of Oklahoma racing and a big reason the Chili Bowl calls Tulsa home.

Crawford was the 2007 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals Rookie of the Year and was to race at last Saturday's event.

For those who want to contribute, a Racing Scholarship Fund has been established in Honor and Memory of the Broken Arrow native.
