Support Grows For Petition To Keep American Airlines Jobs In Tulsa

American Airlines may be planning to cut more than 2,100 local jobs, but support for Tulsa's largest private employer is growing.

Coast to coast, nearly 11,000 people have signed an online pledge supporting American employees. The airline plans to cut 13,000 employees company-wide.

Those who sign the online pledge promise to tell community leaders that American workers should be treated fairly, pensions shouldn't be touched and their high-paying jobs should stay in the U.S.

There are about 5,600 American employees in Tulsa who are grateful for the support.
