Charges Dropped Against Muskogee Cop Accused Of Making Threats

A judge threw out the charges Thursday against veteran Muskogee police detective AJ Rudd.

He was accused of making violent threats to the Muskogee Police Department and other agencies.  His attorney says he was just venting during a meeting.

The board that will decide whether he keeps his position is set to meet next week.

Rudd has been with Muskogee Police for nearly 20 years.

After his hearing Thursday, Rudd filed a petition request to convene a grand jury to investigate Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Moore and his office.
