The Tulsa and Broken Arrow Fire Departments will hold a joint news conference Monday morning to announce a new agreement.

A source familiar with the agreement told NewsOn6.com the agreement concerns an automatic mutual aid response between both departments.

The source, who declined to be identified because the official announcement had not yet been made, says under the agreement any 911 fire or emergency call received from addresses in east Tulsa and west Broken Arrow both fire departments will automatically respond.

Both Tulsa and Broken Arrow have mutual aid agreements with other fire departments, but the source says these agreements require a formal request for aid be made before either department can respond.

Monday morning's announcement will take place at Tulsa Fire station #27 located at 11707 East 31st Street.

Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett, Tulsa Fire Chief Allen LaCroix and Broken Arrow Fire Chief Jeff VanDolah will be in attendance.
