Tulsa police are investigating a shooting in East Tulsa that left one man dead Thursday evening.
It happened at the Huntington Hollow Apartments, 4300 South Garnett in Tulsa. Police were dispatched to the area around 5 p.m. after multiple calls.
Police say the victim, in his late teens or early 20s, was shot in the apartment courtyard and then collapsed in the parking lot. The shooter then took off through a fence and met up with others, police say.
Several witnesses were outside when the shooting took place. One man told News On 6 that the gunman was shooting up in the air at first.
Police are calling the shooting a "running gun battle" possibly over drugs, after police found several shell casing of different calibers and bags of marijuana in the area. Several near-by buildings were struck by the gunfire as well.
Police aren't sure if the victim was participating in the shooting. Officers didn't find any weapon on him or around him.
Police are seeking three men and one woman in connection with the shooting.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of the suspects in the case, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
