Creek County authorities are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in an SUV on Frankoma Road just north of 81st Street South.
"When I first saw it, I thought maybe it was just a car accident or something until I saw them putting up the crime tape," Creek County resident Ryan Deason said. "At that point, I knew something was bad."
Early Tuesday morning, a passerby saw the red SUV on the side of Frankoma Road. She drove by it two more times throughout the day then decided to call the Creek County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a woman dead inside the vehicle. To complicate things even further, two young boys were also in the SUV.
"There's two children in a car with a dead person," OSBI agent Ben Rosser said. "We don't know if that's natural causes, suicide, homicide, but right now we're treating that it as a suspicious death."
Creek County Sheriff's Deputies and the OSBI spent all afternoon going through the car, searching for any clues that might lead to what happened.
"As far as I know, they didn't see any obvious signs of trauma, gun shots, anything like that, stab wounds or anything so that's why at this point, we really don't know what we have," Rosser said.
And not knowing what went down here has some neighbors concerned.
"It's unsettling, but it's going to happen anywhere," Deason said. "Nobody's immune to it. No neighborhood's immune to it. It's going to happen everywhere."
Those two children who were in the car are now in DHS custody. Also, authorities are not sure how the kids are related to the woman.
