Fifth grade students in Jay used what they learned in the classroom to create and publish their own alphabet coloring book about sharks.
The students say they were inspired by their teacher, Mrs. Daftari, who was chosen to be a teacher at sea last year.
The book became a reality with the help of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Two biologists that were essential in the process, stopped by their class today.
Dakota Feather is the illustrator of the coloring book and four other students made up the design.
"Several of them have even said it has helped them do better school and in science," Jennifer Daftari said.
