Four Oklahoma football players won't be on the team for the start of the 2012-13 season.
OU head coach Bob Stoops announced Wednesday night that Jaz Reynolds, Trey Franks, Kameel Jackson and Quentin Hayes have been suspended from the team indefinitely.
All four student-athletes are suspended for violating team rules, but the details of the suspensions have not been released.
Reynolds, Franks and Jackson are all wide receivers that started various games for the Sooners in 2011.
Franks, a junior from Orange, Texas was the team's leading kick returner last season averaging 23.9 yards per return on 22 attempts.
Reynolds who is also a junior, started six games last year and lead the team with 17.4 yards per catch after redshirting the 2010 season. He tallied 41 receptions for 715 yards in 2011.
Jackson is a sophomore that started two games for OU last season, but played in 11 contests averaging 13.8 yards per catch. He recorded a total of 12 receptions for 165 yards.
Hayes is a sophomore defensive back that played in eight games season as a member of the special teams unit after redshirting in 2010.
Franks sat out for two weeks in 2011 because of an undisclosed violation of team rules. He was reinstated in early October.

Reynolds has also previously been suspended in 2010 for comments he made on Twitter after a campus shooting occurred at the University of Texas.

Oklahoma will open the 2012-13 season on September 1, on the road against UTEP. Game times have not yet been released.
