Tulsa residents must decide by October 1 which size trash cart will fit their household. Now they will be able to see the carts at several libraries.

Tulsa residents must decide by October 1 which size trash cart will fit their household. Now they will be able to see the trash carts in person before they decide.

Beginning Monday, sample carts can be viewed at several Tulsa library locations:

  • Hardesty Library, 8613 E. 93rd St.
  • Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road
  • Zarrow Regional Library, 2224 W. 51st St.
  • Rudisill Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford
  • Central Library, 400 Civic Center

The carts can also be seen at Tulsa City Hall, 175 East 2nd Street.

Residents can choose their new cart size and other service options – including the number of picks ups per week – from May 14 to June 8. They can change the size one size without a fee if the change is done from October 1, 2012, to March 31, 2013.

Using a 13-gallon kitchen bag as reference, the 32-gallon cart can contain two to three bags, the 64-gallon cart four to five bags and the 96-gallon cart six to eight bags.
