American Airlines workers took another step toward putting turbulent times behind them Wednesday.
Instead of waiting for a judge to decide their future, the pilots' union did an about-face and agreed to vote on a contract offer from the company.
American is now hoping to do the same with the flight attendants' and the mechanics' unions, which would affect thousands of workers here in Tulsa.
Since the mechanics' union voted down its last offer, the airline is asking the judge to void their contract and create a new one that does not need union approval.
The federal judge is holding off while they negotiate next week.
