Motorcyclist Killed In Broken Arrow Crash

Witnesses told Broken Arrow police the driver of the motorcycle passed traffic in the right lane of 101st Street at a high rate of speed, when he lost control of the motorcycle.

A man died Tuesday evening after losing control of his motorcycle on 101st Street South, east of 129th East Avenue.

Witnesses told Broken Arrow police the driver of the motorcycle passed traffic in the right lane of 101st Street at a high rate of speed, when he lost control of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle struck the ground and the driver rolled across the westbound traffic lane of 101st Street.

The man struck a 2009 Toyota Matrix 4-door, driven by a woman who told police she attempted to avoid him.

The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet or protective gear and was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics and the Broken Arrow Fire Department.

The driver of the Toyota was wearing a seat belt and was not seriously injured.

Authorities are withholding the identity of the deceased until his next of kin is notified.
