A man is behind bars after a 16-year-old Tulsa girl reported she was assaulted near downtown and fought off her attacker by smashing him in the face with a rock.
According to Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley, Corey Allen Reynolds, 48, was booked into the Tulsa County jail early Thursday on sexual battery of a minor and public intoxication complaints.
According to the arrest report, the girl was waiting for her boyfriend, who works at Warehouse Market, 300 South Lewis Avenue, about 10 p.m. Wednesday.
She told officers Reynolds approached her and asked if she wanted to smoke marijuana with him. The two went around the corner, where Reynolds grabbed her private area, the report said.
The girl said she pushed Reynolds, who then grabbed her breasts. She fought off Reynolds once again, grabbed a rock and delivered a blow to Reynolds' face, Ashley said.
She alerted an off-duty Creek County deputy, who was working store security, and he apprehended Reynolds until Tulsa police arrived.
At last check Friday afternoon, Reynolds is still being held on $2,100 bond.
