Tulsans now have a new tool to help stop bullying. It's a website created just for Green Country families.
It's called Prevent Bullying Tulsa, and it launched Monday. Several area non-profit agencies and groups have been working on the site since April.
"We've learned that bullying has increased with frequency and intensity over the past two decades, so bullying is indeed changing in the nature and the type of bullying that is involved," said Steve Hahn of Community Service Education, Parent Child Center.
"Not to mention we didn't deal with cyber bullying 10 years ago, but today our kids are."
The website offers resources that are available local for parents and kids.
Here's an example of their tips for working with your child's school if he or she is being bullied:

Groups participating in the coalition include The Parent Child Center of Tulsa, Family & Children's Services, Tulsa Public Schools, Youth Services of Tulsa, Mental Health Association in Tulsa, Oklahomans for Equality, PFLAG Tulsa, Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice, 211, Community Service Council and the YMCA of Greater Tulsa.
