Governor Mary Fallin said she's "extremely disappointed" after being notified Thursday that Oklahomans, who lost their homes to wildfires in three counties, won't see a nickel in disaster relief aid from the federal government.
FEMA rejected requests from Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Payne counties, where 227 homes were destroyed.
Of the homeowners affected in those counties, 96 percent did not have insurance.
Governor Fallin has 30 days to appeal the rejection.
Disaster assistance for Creek County was approved Wednesday. All four counties were on the same original request for aid.
