The Broken Arrow City Council has narrowed its search for a new city manager to three candidates.

The Broken Arrow City Council has narrowed its search for a new city manager to three candidates.

Mayor Craig Thurmond said they are looking for someone with strong leadership skills to continue the city's focus on retail job growth, public safety, and quality of life.

"The council is looking for someone who has experienced success at their previous places of employment," said Mayor Craig Thurmond.

"But we are also looking for a candidate with diverse experience in city management and who has been heavily involved with the communities in which they have lived and worked."

Finalists are:

  • Gary Greer, currently city manager for Farmers Branch, Texas.
  • Dean Kruithof, city administrator of Branson, Missouri.
  • Thom Moton, interim city manager at Greenville, North Carolina.

Interviews are scheduled for Thursday, September 13, according to a news release. The three finalists were taken from a pool of 55 applicants from across the U.S.
