Jevontai Ingram is one of two masked robbers who held up Jerome Ersland at the Reliable Pharmacy back in 2009. Like Ersland, Ingram is convicted of murder.

Jevontai Ingram spent less than four years in custody after pleading guilty to murder for his role in the death of his accomplice.

Ingram was 14 when Pharmacist Jerome Ersland shot and killed Ingram's accomplice during an attempted robbery. Ingram's testimony about what happened helped get him a deal with the state.

At the time of the shooting, the state considered Ingram a youthful offender. Now Ingram is an adult, at the age of 18, he is making plans for the future despite his confession to murder and conspiracy to rob the pharmacy.

Ingram served three years because his accomplice, Antwun Parker, died during their robbery attempt. Ingram does not agree with the amount of time he was made to serve, and his attorney confirmed he has "no mercy" for Jerome Ersland, the pharmacist also serving time for murder.

"If he thinks Jerome needs to be there after he's the one that instigated this, I have question as to how much he might of learned," Doug Friesen said.

Doug Friesen represents Ersland in his appeal. Ersland is currently serving a life sentence after he killed Antwun Parker during the robbery.

The number of times Ersland shot the would-be robber not only brought about a lot of criticism, but led to his conviction. But instead of focusing on Ingram's release, Friesen says Ersland is focusing on his own.

"He's just more concerned with having his case taken care of than worrying about everyone else's," Friesen said.

Court records show Ingram applied to get his GED and his attorney confirms for News 9 Ingram plans to go to college and become a probation officer.
