Tulsa Police Seek Transient In Connection With Deadly Shooting

Tulsa police are looking for a 29-year-old man who is wanted in connection with Tuesday's fatal shooting at a west Tulsa apartment complex.

Emil L. Barron, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent gunshot wound. Police said Dwain Ryder was identified as a suspect early in the homicide investigation.

Detectives believe Ryder is a transient and was staying at the Parkview Terrace Apartments, located in the 1500 block of West 59th Street, where the shooting occurred.

Investigators are also looking in Muskogee for Ryder, because he has several friends who are able to hide him, police said.

Court records show Ryder has several convictions out of Tulsa County for robbery and illegal possession of a firearm and has served time in state prison.
