A recount Friday confirmed the victory of candidate Pat Key, according to Tulsa County Election Board Secretary Patty Bryant.

The unofficial results give Key 9,009 votes and fellow Republican Dean Martin 8,825. The results will not be certified until a judge rules at a hearing scheduled for September 14th.

In a news release, Bryant said the new election machine technology is performing with great accuracy.

Voters in Oklahoma should be assured that the new election machine technology is performing with great accuracy.  The investment and implementation of this new system is demonstrating anticipated results as we discovered with what was Tulsa County's second election recount since we began using the new voting device in 2012.

According to court documents, Martin took issue with over 200 irregularities he claims took place. Martin alleges ballots irregularities include some without a notary stamp or seal, mismatched notary dates, expired notary stamps, no witness address, no assistant signature and ballots that were notarized by family members, among others, documents say.
