Part Of Highway 75 Dedicated In Honor Of Killed ODOT Worker

A section of Oklahoma highway will be named after an ODOT worker, who was killed on the job.

Ira Henderson was killed last November by a vehicle inside a work zone on Highway 75 in Washington County.

He'd been with ODOT for just five months.

His family, friends and co-workers will honor his memory next Tuesday by dedicating the Ira Lee Henderson Memorial Highway.

The stretch of highway is just north of Ramona.

The man accused of hitting Henderson, Deven Franklin, has pleaded not guilty to first degree manslaughter.
