The man charged with the murder of Tulsa teen, Kayla Ferrante, appeared in his preliminary hearing Monday.

Edwin Jermaine Daniels, 24, is charged with first degree murder and shooting with intent to kill.

A Tulsa district court judge ruled to have Daniels bound over until his arraignment on October 1.

Kayla Ferrante, 17, was shot and killed while riding in a car, the day after she graduated from Memorial High School.

Police said they believe Daniels shot at the car, believing it to belong to a rival gang member.
