Fire investigators are working to find the cause of a Tulsa apartment fire. The fire was confined to the front lobby of the Boulder Plaza Apartments, 1840 South Boulder Avenue.
Tulsa firefighters were dispatched to the building just before 4 a.m. Sunday. They quickly put out the fire, according to Fire Equipment Operator Darin Detherow of the Tulsa Fire Department.
Resident Rebecca Bowdler was in her eighth-floor apartment when the manager called.
"She told us six fire alarms were going off, and we needed to go see what was wrong," Bowdler said.
She and her boyfriend went downstairs to find the building smoky and several fire trucks outside.
"The lobby was all burned, and the glass was broken on the window," Bowdler said.
The fire department went to work ventilating smoke from the building.
"Most of the residents were allowed to stay in their apartments," Detherow told News On 6. No one was injured.
"They went room to room and checked and made sure everybody was taken care of," the firefighter said.
