The police chief of Barnsdall was involved in a rollover truck crash in Bartlesville early Friday morning, according to Bartlesville Police.

Bartlesville Police Captain Jay Hastings says the crash happened on a city street near the hospital at about 3:30 a.m.

He says an officer spotted a pickup truck upside down on the side of the road and a man trapped inside.

Bartlesville Fire used the Jaws of Life to rescue the driver.

Hastings says the man identified himself as Barnsdall Police Chief Matt Clark.

Hastings said alcohol is believed to have been involved and Clark, who was taken to the hospital, was given a blood test.

There is no word on Clark's medical condition. A person who answered the phone at Barnsdall City Hall says she heard the chief had been in a crash but had no details.
