TPD Makes Arrest In Home Invasion Robbery, Still Seeking Second Suspect

Tulsa Police have made an arrest in last Friday's home invasion robbery, and said they are looking for another suspect.

Dustin Sanders, who turns 20 Tuesday, was brought in for questioning Monday afternoon.

Sanders was booked into a Tulsa County jail just before 8 p.m., on complaints of robbery with a firearm or dangerous weapon, kidnapping, possession of stolen property, and obstructing, interfering with a police officer.

A woman told police two young men held her and her granddaughter at gunpoint for two hours inside their mid-town Tulsa home last Friday.

They went through the home picking out which items to steal and even forced the woman to drive to her bank to get cash.

It happened in the 3900 block of South Darlington, near 39th and Yale.

At one point, the suspects fired shots into the floor of the home.

They stole the woman's car, but police found it a few hours later.

The victims told police one of the suspects had a neck tattoo that read, "Jerrell." Sanders has a similar neck tattoo.

Detectives followed a lead to the Savannah South Apartments, located at 4630 South Darlington. Sanders ran from the detectives and led them on a short foot pursuit.

Sanders was found and arrested around 4700 South Braden.

A search warrant was executed for Sanders' apartment and found several items that were consistent with what was reported stolen from the home on South Darlington.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.

Sanders' bond was set at $152,000.
