PC Power handed out donated computers to deserving students in Green Country Tuesday.

They've been doing it for 10 years now.

Officers from 10 agencies delivered 75 computers Tuesday to students who have shown promise with good grades and good behavior.

PC Power was started by a Tulsa police officer who realized kids without a computer at home were falling behind.

"Oh, it's a critical need, absolutely. A lot of these kids walk or are driven to the library, and if you've been lately, you know you're lucky to get five minutes on a computer," said TPD Captain Karen Ford.

Teachers, counselors and police officers, who encounter deserving kids, recommend them for a computer that comes with software and IT support.

PC Power has inspired a similar program, called PC Memories in Okmulgee County.
