A mother is suing Tulsa Public Schools, Twitter, and two students and their parents after a picture of her half-dressed daughter was posted online.
Deann Cooks' daughter plays basketball for Booker T Washington High School.
The lawsuit says two other girls from the team held her down while she was changing in the locker room of another school after a game, and snapped pictures of her in her underwear.
Those pictures were posted to Twitter and were "re-tweeted" several times.
The girl's mother claims the photos led to bullying at school. The lawsuit claims the girl was even physically attacked by other students on school property.
Cooks complained to the Dean of Students and the Assistant Principal at Booker T., the lawsuit states. It says the Dean of Students told her there was nothing the school could do about the bullying.
The lawsuit also says Cooks contacted TPS for help, but was told by Booker T.'s Assistant Principal to drop the complaint, because it would make the school look bad to the TPS administrators.
The mother is suing the school for not handling the situation well, and Twitter for not removing the photos from its website.
She's asking for more than $75,000 in damages.
